CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER/CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER

Matthew Tuttle is a Certified Financial Planner® professional. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Tuttle Tactical Management, LLC.

Matthew is a familiar face among the financial media. In addition to speaking at accounting and trade association meetings across the country, he is a frequent guest on Fox Business News, BusinessWeek TV and Channel 12 News, and has been interviewed on both CNBC and Fox News. Matthew has appeared numerous times on CNNfn, notably on the Your Money Show and Dolans Unscripted with Ken and Daria Dolan.

He is the author of How Harvard & Yale Beat the Market (an Amazon best seller) and Financial Secrets of my Wealthy Grandparents. In addition to his books, Matthew has contributed timely articles to a variety of financial publications, including The CPA JournalPennsylvania CPA JournalTAXPRO Journal, Accounting Crossing, the Fairfield County Business Journal, the Stamford Senior Flyer and over 25 other publications nationwide. He also is a frequent contributor to Forbes.com, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com, SmartMoney and Dow Jones Newswires. He has been quoted in Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Money Magazine, USA Today, The Star-Ledger, Bankrate.com, The Christian Science Monitor and the Journal of Financial PlanningIn addition, Matthew has been profiled in The New York Times, Stamford Advocate and Greenwich Time.

An experienced educator, Matthew teaches personal finance to consumers as an adjunct professor at Norwalk Community Technical College. He instructs through the Continuing Education centers of the Westport, Stamford, Darien, Greenwich and Katonah districts, as well as the 92nd Street YMCA.  He has also provided continuing education instruction to CPAs at Baruch College, the CPA Law Forum and through the CPA Report.

He has received the Fairfield County 40 Under 40 Award, given annually to 40 executives who demonstrate extraordinary leadership qualities, with outstanding accomplishments in their respective fields.  Recipients exhibit a strong, ongoing commitment to professional development.

In addition to his books, Matthew has written two chapters for the Life Insurance Answer Book, the desk reference guide for life insurance agents.  He has also contributed to the Wealth Management Manual.

Confirming his expertise, he is a sought after expert witness in court cases dealing with financial planning matters.

Matthew has an MBA in finance from Boston University.

CONSULTANT – ETF TRADING & RESEARCH

John A. Burke is a consultant for ETF trading and research and the founder of the ETF Research Group. The ETF Research Group provides institutional research on ETFs and ETF flows to ETF Strategists and Issuers. Previously he was Managing Director/Head Trader for American Independence where he set up their ETF trading desk. John was in charge of all ETF trading for the Cougar Global Tactical Growth and Moderate Growth Funds: he also traded the JAForlines Risk Managed-Allocation Fund. In addition, he traded the SMA accounts for the featured ETF Managers.

Prior to American Independence, John was Senior Vice President/Head Trader at Avatar Associates, an ETF-centric quantitative sector rotation investment manager. Before moving to the buy side, he was an OTC market maker for over fifteen years with the firms ABN, AMRO, Dain Rauscher, Montgomery Securities, and Guzman & Company. He has also participated in a panel on Best Execution Practices in Trading ETFs sponsored by IndexUniverse.

John graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio with a degree in Economics.


Murray A. Ruggiero Jr.

CONSULTANT-SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT

Murray Ruggiero is one of the world’s foremost experts on the use of inter-market and trend analysis in locating and confirming developing price moves in the markets. Murray is often referred to in the industry as the Einstein of Wall Street. Murray is the Vice President of Research and Development of TradersStudio, a provider of backtesting and system development software to money managers and traders. 

He is a sought-after speaker at IEEE engineering conventions and symposiums on artificial intelligence. IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is the largest professional association in the world, advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity.  Due to his work on mechanical trading systems, Murray has also has been featured on John Murphy’s CNBC show Tech Talk, proving John’s chart-based trading theories by applying  backtested mechanical strategies. (Murphy is known as the father of inter-market analysis.)

After earning his degree in astrophysics, Murray pioneered work on neural net and artificial intelligence (AI) systems for applications in the investment arena. He was subsequently awarded a patent for the process of embedding a neural network into a spreadsheet.

Murray’s first book, Cybernetic Trading, revealed details of his market analysis and systems testing to a degree seldom seen in the investment world.  Reviewers were universal in their praise of the book, and it became a best seller among systems traders, analysts and money managers. He has also co-written the book Traders’ Secrets, interviewing relatively unknown but successful traders and analyzing their trading methodologies. Murray has been a contributing editor to Futures magazine since 1994 and has written over 160 articles.

As chief systems designer, Murray digs into the depths of niche and sub-markets, developing very specialized programs to take advantage of opportunities that often escape the public eye, as well as the most experienced high level money managers.

David Nelson

STRATEGIST

David founded his own investment firm in October 2000. Prior to forming DC Nelson Asset Management, David was a portfolio manager at Lehman Brothers’ New York City office, where from 1997-2000, he was responsible for managing the assets of high net worth clients and small institutions. Lehman approached David at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter where, from 1995-1997, he played an active role in management at their flagship New York City office. Previously, he was a Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA,) a designation issued solely by the CFA Institute.

He is a frequent commentator and guest on Bloomberg TV, CNBC, Fox Business, TheStreet.com, and Yahoo Finance where he discusses markets, economics and individual securities.

David also frequently lectures on the financial markets, including several recent appearances before the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII.) David’s investment career follows his well-publicized success in the entertainment industry where he performed with recording artists The Turtles and David Johansen.
